This app will display a popup or redirect user to a page reminding them to update their information before browsing the website. Features: Enable/Disable the feature. This app scans the database to detect members who have multiple accounts at your forum, and it will list the results. You can also auto ban new multiple registrations of members who have previously registered an account and/or accounts at your forum. The auto banning is done on basis of ip addresses and devices. You can also exclude ip addresses and devices from being auto banned when registering multiple accounts. Detection Method: The detection method is being done in 4 ways. 1) Registration Method: This method is based on scanning the members table for members who have registered more than one account at your forum from the same ip. The ip address in question will be displayed with the latest multiple account. When the ip address is clicked upon, it will display all the other aliases of that member. 2) Posting Method: This method is based on scanning the posts table for members who have posted from more than one account at your forum from the same ip. The ip address in question will be displayed with the latest multiple account. When the ip address is clicked upon, it will display all the other aliases of that member as well as the posts and topics that they have posted. 3) Ip Login Method: This method is based on scanning members known ip addresses, i.e. their last used ips, during the login and if a member has logged in to different accounts from the same ip, the action will be logged and displayed. 4) Device Detection Method: This is the most accurate method imo. Ipb adds a unique cookie to members devices when they log in to the forum. The cookie expiration date is set to one year and its unique string is associated with the users device and stored in the device table. This means if someone logs in to your forum, logs out and then logs in using another account and a different ip address, then it can tell that it was the same person. It means that person has to use same machine, same browser irrespective of the ip address he/she is using. Search: All 4 multiple accounts detection methods have a quick search option where you can search the results based on members names. Auto Banning: All users who will try to register multiple accounts using the same ip address or device can be banned automatically upon registrations. Admins can exclude ip address(es) and device(s) from being banned. Compatibility: This app is compatible with Ipb 5 only. If you are using the Ipb 4.7. version of the app you will have to uninstall it first. Then you can install this one. No data will be lost as the app doesn't add a table of its own to the database, but queries the relevant Ipb tables. -

This app will allow the admins to add fake members in the online list. When you add a fake member online, you can also add the number of minutes that you want that particular member to be online. A task will run every half hour to remove the expired fake sessions from the online list. This can be very useful for start up forums as well as for those forums where there is not much activity. It will make the forum look busy and it might attract new users and boost the activity. To keep things real, fake members will appear to read random topics, which they are allowed to view permission wise. You can select a certain forum or forums, whose topics you do not want to be showed up as being read from the fake members in the online list. You can view all fake members that have been added to the online list at the app 's log page. -

XenForo Enhanced Search is an add-on that replaces the built-in XenForo search system and is built to take advantage of Elasticsearch to provide a higher performing and more flexible search system for XenForo. In the beginning, XenForo Enhanced Search (XFES) was intended to be a simple drop-in replacement for MySQL full text search, primarily aimed at large forums whose operation would potentially suffer when attempting to search very large database tables. As a drop-in, XFES only made use of the enhanced search index and speed for the formal search system, but with version 2.2 we are starting to leverage more of the power afforded by the Elasticsearch back-end. Similar threads A useful tool for surfacing content on your forum is a list of Similar or related threads, which can be displayed along with a primary thread. Visitors who have landed on that page from a search engine will often look for related material to continue their reading, and Similar threads offer a great way to provide that in an automated fashion. One limitation of the usefulness of Similar threads is a determination of just how similar or related the results actually are. This is where XFES comes into its own, as the Elasticsearch back-end provides a specific ability to search for more like this using the current thread as a search parameter. Given a decent amount of content from which to pluck similar results, this provides an excellent list of threads in which the viewer of the current thread may be interested. Similar threads widget We display our similar threads results in a widget, and by default we place it below the quick reply area on thread view pages, but as it is a widget you can choose to place it wherever you like on the page. -

Fix RSS feeds for media lists showing an unexpectedly small number of items. When an album contains media with custom thumbnails ensure the album thumbnail is rebuilt as expected. When embedding a YouTube video, if a list parameter is included, exclude this from the URL when fetching the thumbnail image. For new signatures, disallow [GALLERY] bb code if the user does not have the "Allow embedded media" signature permission. -

Mod CP: All 4 detection methods will be available at the Mod Cp area as well. This is group permission based. The Ip Login&Device methods can be enabled/disabled individually. You can exclude a member or members from showing up in these logs. This is if you do not want your staff members to have access to those particular logs. Automated Multiple Registrations Topics: Whenever someone registers more than once account using the same ip address, an automated topic will be posted at a forum of your choice listing all the previous accounts of that member. Ip Registrations Limit: And last, but not least, this app adds an option to limit the number of registrations from the same ip and from members last used ip addresses.
